Common Kingfisher I

“Common Kingfisher I”

40cm x 30cm

Airbrush on Ampersand Claybord

This beautiful Common Kingfisher just caught a fish!

Because of the vibrant colors and the cool water effect, I loved painting this piece.

It also made me push my limits and try out new techniques.

Fun fact: Kingfishers fly low and straight like bullets. Their beaks are sharp, pointed, and so long that they slice soundlessly through water, which means that they can dive into pools without alerting fish.

This is an original painting – one of a kind
